OVERVIEW OF COMPANY:

At Fast Sled Propulsion (FSP) Research and Development Group, we are dedicated to educating and inspiring progress in hybrid freight efficiency, focusing on hydrostatic drivetrain design.

Our mission is to push forward cutting-edge concepts in fluid power innovation—not by offering a finished product, but by sharing thoughtfully engineered concepts and strategic approaches that serve as starting points for research, refinement, and hands-on learning.

We propose here a Compound Electric Hybrid (CEH) architecture—featuring a Fluid Power high-torque, infinitely variable hydrostatic transmission—to achieve a viable Zero-Emission, lighter weight solution adaptable to both urban and over-the-road freight applications.

More than a novel assembly, this drivetrain system is a flexible platform intended to inspire innovation, experimentation, and advancement in many Fluid Power applications yet to be tapped.

This Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) drivetrain approach enables both Zero Emissions and low-emission in freight transportation as well as opening the door to the imagination of other practical hybrid solutions that are power-dense and infrastructure-flexible. Designed for real long-term sustainability, this system is shared not as the final solution, but as a platform for growth.

We believe innovation accelerates when ideas are shared openly. These concepts gain the most value when placed in the hands of students, educators, engineers, and researchers—especially those guiding the next generation of minds in the fluid power disciplines.

Founded in 1987, FSP has been shaped by decades of hands-on experience and engineering curiosity. As a small, family-led group, our goal isn’t individual recognition. We’re here to contribute to something greater.

Let’s connect, collaborate, and advance the future of freight efficiency—together.
